(PXK UKITID PRKSS AfIfIOCIiTIOX.) BLENHEIM, December 17. In the Supremo Court, before the Chief •Tuitiee. Charley Chow Sing, of Picton, charged with an indecent act, was convicted and admitted to probation. Two young men—Albert I'ezer and Harold lirosnilian, —charged with assault and robbery of an old man while on a drunken spree, were found "Guilty" of attempted theft only, and admitted to probation on condition that, they are never seen in 0 hotel or under the influence of liquor. The civil cases are proceeding. The action Government v. Blenheim Borough Council, for possession of rooms in the Oovornment Buildings, was removed for argument to Wellington in Banco.
— Some remarkable coincidences are recorded in the ease of two men, William Connolly and Patrick Cantwell, who were <lrov.-ned a short time oeo by tlio upectting of a "float" 011 the Grand Canal, near Tullamoro. Ireland. The two men were born on the same day 36 years a/50; they we.-o baptised in the same water; they were drowned together in the Grand Canal; and they havo now been buried together at Rahan, King's County.
