WHOLESALE POISONING

(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 7. It- was recently announced from Fiji that sonio natives at Udu Point wero poisoned by eating turtle. The incident was much moro serious than was at first anticipated. Ko loss than 28 deaths, including a family of five, havo taken place, and several patients are still suffering. It appears that tho turtlo eaten was picked up in a doga swamp in a dying -condition.
