. «■ l CPIR TjHnKD PjESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCIIURCH, .August 16. An elderly man—Albert Smith Hull, a butcher, of Addinglon—was found dead this morning in a;creek in llagley Park. He was apparently drowned. Ho had a cut in the side .of his head, and suspicion was aroused of foul play, but the stony bottom might account for Iho injury. The deceased's watch had stopped at 10 p.m., and his money was intact. He was last seen alive at 9.30 last night, when he bad been drinking. It is supposed that ho foil into the water whilo intoxicated, and was drowned. ASHBURTON, August 16. Robert Sanderson, aged 65. a labourer on Coldstream Estate, was found dead in bed this morninff at- the residence of 'William Lindsay. He attended the Grand National Steeplechase meetincr on Tuesday, returned to Ashburton yesterday, went to bed in his usual health, and was found dead in bed a-bout 8 o'clock this morning. Heart disease is tho supposed cause. ■ j ■ ~
