HARBOUR BOARD APPOINTMENT.
TO THE IDITOE. Slll.—A vacancy exists on the Orago Harbour Hoard caused by the death of tho late Hon. D. Pinkerton. " Might I suggest that ihc Government appoint to the vacancy someone from the country. 1 think tho whole of ihe members of the board are cither city or town residents. ■It seems'to mo that the country districts should have seme representation on the board.—l am; etc..
