ATTACKS ON FEMALES.

Mrs Agnes Wliittomo, wife of ,1 miner employed at Karangnhako, was aliacked and assaulted, evidently in mistake for somebody else, in the Mount Eden district 011 Saturday night. She struck and kicked liei' assailant, wlio caught her by the throat and brutally knocked her .head against a stone wall. She streamed, and her assailant decampod. WESTPOBT, July 9.
