CHURSTCHURCH INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION.

CIIRISTOIICKCH, June 27, The follov.iiiL' official statement, re the Government subsidy of £1000- towards a four-days' Exhibition Show has bwn made by Mr Munro, chairman of the Executive Commissioners:— "The Government has decided io modify one of tho conditions under which the subsidy of £1000 was •.■ranted io the Oanlorbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association in connection with the four day.-' Exhibition Show. Tho original conditions provided that all privileges enjoyed bv members of tho Ca.riterbnry Agricultural and Pastoral Association should be extended (or the time beine lo all members

privileges to t.lio executive officers only of the kindred associations referred to. Tile Canterbury Association wished to expungo tho outiro condition. Mr Munro (chairman of tho Executive Commissioners) objected. '1 ho matter wag thru reconsidered by the Government, the result being tho modification as above.
