Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunediu, as under: — Overland, Northern Ports, Christchurch, and intermediate offices, daily, 6.30 a.m. Late letters, 7.40; also on the mail van up to 8 a.m. For Second Express for Palmerston, Oamaru, Waiinate, Timarn, Ashburton, and Christchurch, at 12.45 p.m. Also, Northern Ports, at 12.15 p.m. on Saturday. For Gieymouth, Hokitika, and Reefton, Monday and Thursday, at 12.45 p.m. For South Express Trains at 7.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to tbo ordinary postage, Id.
