The Dunedin Harriers visited Anderson's Bay Insi. Saturday, and ran from the sohoolJtouse at the invitation of Mr J. Jeffrey?. Maco and Foley were rent off with the paper, and made toward Tomahawk. After travelling along the beach fot a short distanoo they turned to the left, and took tho hill, finding the top at the "Big Rock," opposite lUvensbourne. From there the hares, took the road all the way home. Tho run turned out to bo a very enjoyable one for the paok of 29 rnnners, tho portion round about Tomahawk being very nioe, while the soenc viewed from the top of the hill instilled new life into the Tunners after the Ions; climb up. A merry nace was kept up on tho road home, several of the pack indulging in a good sprint when in sight of the school. To Mr Jeffreys, and also to Miss Bonnin, the chib is very tliankful for tho kindness shown to the members during; the afternoon, which was aeknowledffed by thofe present in good barrier style CIVIL SERVICE CLUB. Twenty-two members of the Civil Service Harriers took train to Waitati, and held their weekly run there, starting from the AVainoni Bachelors' Camp. Owinjr to the absence of paper tho hares were dispensed with. H. Mackintosh led the pack, picking out tho best of the country. This was a xatber difficult for Waitati doc.3 n.ot'

offer many inducements to harriers, the ground, with tho exception! of tho Waitati flats, being very patchy. This did not affect th(> spirits of the runners in the least. Every man went out with tho intention of enjoying himself to the utmost, and never in the history of the club has a more enjoyable run been held. Whether it was tho treatment meted out to tho runners after the race or not. it is hard (o say. The campers (who aro all enthusiastic foilowors of the Civil Service Harriers) vied with eaoh other in attending to the wants of the visitors, who sat down to a spread served up in ideal camp form. Mi - Melville spoko on behalf of the visitors, and the enthusiastic manner in> which his speech and Mr Marr.vatt's response were received left no doubt, in the mind as to the crijoyahleness of the run. PORT CHALMERS CLUB. The Port Chalmers Club held its weekly run oil Saturday afternoon from Sawyers' Bay Hall, Currie and Jaeobson having eharge of tho paper. Leaving tho hall, they followed the road for about half a mile, then struck a course over the hills to tho top of the oentre peak of Mount Cargill, Some stiff climbing was met with, but tho pack was rewarded with a fine view of the harbour and surrounding country. 'Tho main road to Waitati was followed for a considerable distance, and tlien, branching down a gully to Sawyers' Bay, a splendid day's outing of about an hour and a-half finished with a smart run down the road home. Next Saturday the first of a series of club races will be run, the distance being a mile, and as several members aro showing good form an interesting race is looked for. ANGLICAN CLUB. The Dunedin Anglican Harriers journeyed to Burnsido by the 2.10 p.m. Mosgiel train on Saturday last, and ran from the gymnasium attached to tho Green Island School. The hares (G. Talboys and G. Oliphant) laid a very good trail out at. tho back of the school and across the hills until they came, lo the Green Island Beach. During this part, of the run several bogs were struck, which, were all easily negotiated. The trail then lay along tho beach for a little before it struck oft' over the sandhills and across country, till it came out on to the Brighton road. The homeward run was mado along the road in front of tho Hon. Leo Smith's property and across ono or two paddock's to the school, where, in the gymnasium, tubs with nlcnty of water were found. Throughout the run somo magnificent views of different parts of tho country were obtained, and the afternoon being just cold enough for running and tho country ideal for harriers it was voted the best run held so far this season. In the absence of both the captain and deputy-captain, the secretary took charge, of the pack, and Mr R. Thompson made an efficient whipper in. The club's thanks aro duo to Mr M'Donald. head master of Ihc Green Island School, for tho use of the gymnasium and for making such excellent arrangoments for the club's convenience. Tho club returned to town by tho 5.40 Otago Central train. SOUTHER~N B.C. CLUB. The run of tho Southern Biblo Class Harriers took place from the residence of Mr J. 'lough, Musselburgh, on Saturday. There were 15 runners present, including a good proportion of new members. The hares (E. Glen and J. Miller) laid tho trail past tho pumping station through Wavcrley township, ami thence, skirting Tomahawk Lagoon, across good country to a point opposite Ravensbourne. From here a splendid view was obtained of Dunedin and the, Lower Harbour. Tho trail then doubled back, and, passing through some broken country, ultimately came out on to the lower road near tho tollgato, and, following the road, home was again reached. The district is well suited to harrier running, and tho hares, making the most of it, gave tho pack a splendid outing. When all traces of Mother Earth had been removed, all sat down to do justice to the generous hospitality of Mr and Mrs Tough, after which a short programme of musical items was rendered. Dawson, the deputv-captain. on behalf of the club, thanked Mr and Mrs Tough and tho ladies for their kindness. Y.M.C.A. CLUB. The Y.M.C.A. Harriers' run on Saturday took place, from tho St. Clair Baths. The Caversham and St. Patrick's Harriers had also arranged for the same starting point, and, to avoid confusion, it was decided to combine and form ono pack. Representatives from eaoh club wero chosen as hares, and, making gocd®se of the open country to bo found in this locality, tliev laid a splendid trail. From tho starting point the paper followed tho track up tho cliffs for some distanoe, and then, turning lo tho right, mado a vrido circuit over open paddocks, eventually corning on to the main road near tho Cattle, yards. This was followed for a short way, when tJ;o trail again took to the fields, and at last came out near the Quarry, whence tho road was' followed home. Shortly after tho start of the run a fast pack was sent out, and ran so willingly that tho hares wero sighted and chased home, the latter arriving there barely two minutes in front o: the pack. The ground was in good order, notwithstanding tho recent rain, and tho run proved very enjoyable to all.
