An inquest, touching tho death of Ulga ilenyns, a child 17 months old, who met her death by being run over by a steam J ram, wag held before Mr 11. W. Bishop, ixironer, at tho hospital this afternoon. Kvidenco was given that tho child had ■run on to the traek as the tram was approaching, and was run over by tho engine. The driver was at the time putting some coke into the. furnace, and did not iiotico tho child until tho ongino was too eloso to pull up in time. A verdict of " Accidental death, with no blame attachable to anyone," was returned. The jury added a rider that there should be two men on tho engine, and that cowcatchers should be put on the engines. The adjourned inquest touching the death of an old ma-n named Patrick iVlfCormick, whoso body had been found •in tho estuary near Sumner yesterday morning, -was held to-day, when a verdict wan returned- that death was duo to drowning, ibnt thero was no evidence to show how deceased got into the water. THAMES, April 27. Charles Curham. aged 53 years, died (suddenly. He complained of feeling unwell, 3cft his. employment at tho gasworks, proceeded Itome, and- went to bed.
