KELSO RAILWAY STATION.
TO THE KDITOR. SIK, —Tli<! Railway Department intends, I hear, 'to erect at onco a now railway station at Kelso. This is not before time. It is monstrous to contemplate tho apathy that, lias been displayed by the department in not having attendee! to this sooner. There is absolutely a danger to life And limb to any person approaching tho present slaticn. How iiceidcnts liavo not occurred in the past, it is hard to imagine, and it is harder still to imagine how the pepplo allowed this veritable death-trap to exist as Jong as it has done. I challenge the department to say that tnere is even reasonably safe .ingress or egress to the railway station, pest, office, or telegraph olllee, or to say that the only safe ingress and egress is not,' through private property. If it is correct that a now station ia to be erected all is well; if not, this matter will be threshed out. in a quarter ■where tho department, will least, like it.— I am. etc..' Cii.uiles Falconed.
