The competition for the Club Championship of the Otago Golf Club is taking place on the Balm&cewan links on Saturdays. The club hag been favoured with two beautiful Satur-
days, and the links are in splendid order. There have been one or two surprises in tho rcjulta of the matohes, and it is pleasing to note some of the younger players coming to the front. Mr G. H. Saturday, the 24th irist. The third round for Ilia president's trophy will take place on the afternoon of Anniversary Day. This afternoon '«n approaching and putting competition, for ladic3 and gentlemen, is to lake place between the hours of 4 and 6,. This competition has been organised by a prominent member of the Otago Ladies' Golf Club, and it is desired that as many gentlemen as.possible will take part.
