DR TRURY KING'S ADDRESS.
TO THE EDITOR Sir,—The public of Dunedin is under the very greatest obligation to Dr Trilby King for his valuable address on the feeding of infants. It is now being recognised more than ever that the health of mankind depends lo the utmost degree on Ihe food (hat is eaten nnd the manner in which it is eaten. Food defective in quality and defectively consumed leads to malnutrition, and the body that docs not get tho right material to rebuild the ncvcr-eeasing wear sooner or later breaks down. It is recognised, further, that far too much food is consumed, especially, by people who have reached a period in • life when the body has attained to its fullest growth. In those matters the utmost and most, regrettable ignorance prevails, and it would indeed bo an immense public benefit if Dr Truby King were induced to supplement the admirable work he has already done in teaching us how to feed tho coming generation in its babyhood by also teaching tho present generation the vital importance depending on the manner in which it. feeds itself.—l am, etc.. Thankful
