THE WEATHER DISTURBANCES.
TO THE EMTOH. Sir,—lll your issue of this morning there is a paragraph taken from tho Now Zealand Times respecting tho disturbance of the weather in Now Zealand. Captain Edwin explains it as cyclonic, and of such huee dimension as to encompass the whole colony. Now, anyone curious in this matter should compare Cantain Edwin's opinions (during iho disturbance) with a forecast published months ago in this year's Zadkiel's Almanack, nago 67. where tho following is said:—"At Wellington, >'.Zi, the presence of Mars and Saturn in the sixth house signifies sickness, etc., and no lack of rain during tho ensuing quarter." It is evident, from the press accounts from various parts of the colonv that the farmers aro finding Zadkiel's forecast, (unfortunately) to bo too true. Evidently planetary influences are an important factor on the earth's atmosphere, such as very few have any conception of, tlyuurh they may often feel tho effects either on their mind or body and are perplexed (hereby, since they do not know the reason whv mind and body vary so much during life,—l am, etc., Duncdin, December 15.
