The third wool sale of the season took place this afternoon, when a total of no;!, 1 ! bales was offered. There was a., full attendance of buyers, and, in sympathy with improved Bradford quotations, they bought at an advance of Id on last sale rates for most sorts. Tho following prices were obtained:— Medium crossbred in inir condition, lOd to 10Jd; coarso crossbrcd, bright Slid to lOd; inferior and coarse crossbrcd, BJd to Del; medium crossbred pieces, 7d to 7.U1; inferior pieces, Od. to 7d; locks, 4d to sd; superior bright lambs, lOd to lOJd; average lambs, !)d to Old; inferior lambs, 7d to BJd, according to condition. HIDE SALES. Messrs Dona'.d Reid and Co. (Limited) rereport:—We held our joiinightly sale on Tuesday, the 13th ins'., when to a full muster of buyers—both lanncrs and exporters —we submitted a fairiy large selection of hides. In the whole catalogue only one or two lots could h« classed as Inciter than medium-weights, tbe majority coming from country butchers and other clients. Although bidding was spirited, prices realised, for lightweights 'Mi'ticulariv, showed a decline of Jd, and in sonic instances id, compared with those obtaining a fortnight ago. Messrs Waters, Ritchie, and Co. report having held their usual fortnightly sale of bides al their stores. Crawford street. 011 Wednesday afternoon. There was Ihe usual attendance'of buyers,- and competition was keen, partic.darly for all lines of wcli-flayed hides. Price-, as compared with the previous sale, showed no alteration. We topped the marliet, securing 7id per lb for an ox hide belonging to Mr .fames .iain, of liavensbourne. In money value this bide brought £2 Qs 3d.
