(Received Dec. 15, at 11,26 p.m.) The Bank of England returns show the stock of gold coin and bullion to bo £30,949,000, reserve £22 197.000, proportion of reserves to liabilities 40.10. The notes in circulation total £28,803,000, public deposits £6.377,000, other deposits £48.856.000, Government securities £J 7.239,000, other securities £33,679,000. Three months' bills are discounted at 3£ per cent. Consols are quoted at 589 2s 6d. Despite heavy shipments Continental markets are steady. Germany is importing largely. There is an improving demand for cargoes. A new crop of Australian December and January shipment is held for 32s 3d and 32s Gd. Australian snot is almost exhausted at 355. New Zealand is lineh.insred.
Flour: Dull. London auolation, 3d to 24s 6d; Glasgow. 25s to 25s 9(1. Parcels of January and February are offered at 23s 3d. Freights are active. Victoria. United Kingdom, nnd the. Continent are fixed at 22s 9d, and New Smith Wales at ?.ls3d to 21s 6d.
Butter : Very firm. There is a strong demand owiiiEC to the small suoplies for the Cnfic's late delivery. Choicest New Zealand, 114s to 116s: Australian, 110s lo 114s. The Pnnaroa's carco was excellent, and is all cleared. Danish is unchanged.
Cheese : Firm. Canadian, 62s to 635; New Zealand, 60s to 61s.
Copper: Spot. £80 15s; three months, £80.
Tin: Spot, £165 15s; three months, £164 10s. Pi? iron. 53s 3d. Lead. £17 Is 3d. Rnelter. £28 12s 6d. Silver. 2s 6 5-36(1 ner oz. Sugar: First marks, 10s Id; German. 8s 3d. The Bradford wool market is flat. Forties, 15? d; forty-sixes. 17£ d; common sixties, 24-id; super, 25-15.
