OITttISTCHURCH, December 15. The No-license party held a' largelyattended demonstration in tho Canterbury Hull 10-nijjht in honour of tho results of the recent licensing polls. Several speakers expressed much satisfaction at the result of tho poll, and denied that there was any advance of sentiment with the Liquor party. When Mr T. K. Taylor roso to speak the audience rose en masse, and cheered again and again, a bouquet hoing also presented. Mr Taylor attributed the majority in Ashburton in favour of restoration to the desiro to got back licenses for clubs. Tho same factor, ho belioved, had operated larpely in Kaiapoi, which had just carried reduction.
