"Daily Times Office, Wednesday evening. Tho amount of revenue collected at the Dunedin Cull >m House to-day on <*oods cleared for consumption was £1278 7s Id. The forty-third annual report of the Australian Alliance Assurance Company (Fire and Marine) was presented to tho shareholders at tho meeting held in Melbourne on the 28th September, when (he financial statement and balance sheet showed tho amount at tbe credit of profit and loss was £27,759 7s 2d. After paying a dividend of 2s per share for tho year, there remained a balance of 122.759 7s 2d. The paid-up capital and reserves arc £200,000, and, in moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, the Hon. .Tamos Bell proposed a vote of thanks to the officers and agents of the company, both resolutions being carried unanimously. The company is represented in Dunedin by Mr A. J. Sullivan, and has branches and agencies in all the chief centres. ~*
