In thisv connection,! would ask tho following questions: (1) Whether the Auckland gas engineer is. to bo commissioned tolprepare tho plans at a cost to Dunedin of anything from £600 to £1500? J2) Should this prove to bo correct, h ihe to retain the wiole of this commission, himself? , (3) Did the Auckland gas engineer ever have charge of gasworks prior to takiiur ut) hjs present duties?
