(Received Sept. 20, at 9.58 a.m.) Manila, tho man who with two others was arrested for tile murder of Liebglid, has made a statement to the effect that they enticed Liebglid aboard tho schooner oft pretence of shewing him a pearl, and then attacked him with eling shots. When he foil overboard they battered bis head and hands as ho tried to rcb'onrd the boatuntil he sank. . BRISBANE, September 20. (Received Sept. 20, at 9.15 a.m.) P. Levaux, a solicitor, and prominent Labour supporter, has been charged at Cairns with the murder of Peter Lumbcrg. Tho accused's wife is the sole beneficiary under Liimberg's will, which wns made three weeks prior to his death. The evidence is purely circumstantial.
