The return froni tho. Nelam . Creek dredge last week was 16oz as the result of 135 hours' work. The master of tho Electric No.'l dredge wires having resumed dredging operations yesterday. Tho dredgo has been moved lower down the river, and is now opening out opposite Mr Steele's. Tho secretary of the Mo'yneux Hydraulic Company reports a return of 270z 17dwt 12gr as the lesuit of last week's operations. The master of the New Golden River dredge advises that tile breakdown 011 Friday last was due to the intermediate pinion of tho winch Some sniall repairs were effected to the winch, and dredging was to be resumed to-day. Tho dredgemaster washed up for a return of GJoz, this being the result of about two days' dredging. The ground was very rough, and it was intended to pull ahead about hah a length.

Holders of .Duhstan Leads dropped from 7s 3d-to 63 9d, and tmycrs;wero only disposed to give 6s. Golden Runa wore procurable at 36s Gd, but received no notice' from buyers. Hartleys had an inquiry at 233, but holders were quoting somewhat wide at 34a. Island, Block buyers- wore just a shade tasier at 7s 3d, but holders wero unaltered at 9s. NOTES FROM REEFTON. (Feosi Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, September 11. A.party of Boatman's residents aro reported to have struck a reef close to the old Specimen Hill claim. The reef has been striped for 100 ft, _ and carries good stone. Several trial crusiiings have given satisfactory returns. It is generally c-xpected that there is a future before Boatman's district yet.
