ORPHANS' MUSICAL CLUB.
The seventh annual meeting of flic Orphans' Musical Club was helcl in its rooms, Moray place, 011 Tuesday evening. Capl. Fleming (president) occupied the chair, and some 40 members were present. After tl)o report and balance, sheet had been adopted the election of office-bcarers for the ensuing year took place, the following being elected President, Mr A. C. Hanlon; vice-presidents— Me?srs E. "Withers, E. Y. Priest, and J. Fulton Marshall; committee—Messrs P. ,T. Priest, W. Brown, W. lloff, ,t. Pcal;e, and ii. &. Stevens; lion, secretary, Mr W. 11. Irvine; auditors, Messrs P. Mirams and J. Allan. Eulogistic, reference was made to the good work done by the retiring committee and the hon. secretory. It was also intimated with regret that the- late president (Captain Fleming) was leaving Dunedin. shortly, and duo appreciation of his valuable services during the past five yr.ars was recorded in the minutes. A vote of thanks to the chair closed the meeting.
