CHRISTCHURCH GRAM AND PRODUCE market. (Per United Prf.ss Association.) CHPJSTCHURCH, April 4. The depression in the wheat market continues, and is rather intensified since last report. It is a difficult matter to disnose of this grain at present, tho reason alleged being that millers are just now stocked up to their limit, and there are no outside speculators operating. Since Friday there have been practically no transactions of any volume, and the tendency is weaker. In addition to the absence oi any demand, the condition of the new wheat offering is unsatisfactory, and of old wheat there is practically none being offered. For new wheat 3s to .'ls lid is quoted, and fair quantities lmve been purchased at tho lower figure.

Feed oats arc easier, short feed being quoted at Is Gd, and Clarions at la Cd to Is 7d. The demand is weak, and the condition of tho offerings not too good. Hilling oats arc still in demand at prices recently ruling. 'Buyers of potatoes are operating with much caution, owing to the uncertainty regarding the blight. Some buyers are running no risks. and are declining to touch potatoes. For good guaranteed tubers prices offered are much in advance of r:cent quotations, but no business is reported.

There is practically no barley offering. The crop has been unsatisfactory, and none of milling quality is to be bad. Flour is quoted afc £) per ton—a reduction of 10s per lon since last report.
