METHODIST SISTER'S ANNIVERSARY.
The sixlh anniversary of the introduction Mothodist deaconesses into Dnnedin was celebrated at the Central Mission yesterday. The morning service was taken by Miss Lucy Broad (of England), who was a.t one time a sister working in the Bermondsey circuit in London, and told of some of her experiences there. In the afternoon and evening tho Rev. Wm. Ready, the founder of the Central. Mission, occupied the pulpit, and had large attendances. At the.afternoon musical service solos were contributed by Miss Chalmers, JJeßsrs A. Cooke and G. Lamb. At the evening service Mrs J. P. Harvey sang " Gallilee," accompanied by Messrs Hartley, (organ) and Parker ('cello). The annual meeting or subscribers and friends of the sisterhood' will bo held this evening. An encouraging report will be presented.
