MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
- Court Excelsior, No. 6123, A.0.F., met on | Thursday in tho Council Chambers, Morningtoil. During the evening one candidate was initiated by C.R. Bro. Logan, assisted by P.C.lt. Bro. G. Curie, anil two proposed for membership. Receipts, £23 19s Bd. The Alliance Lodge, 1.0. G.T., held its -weekly meeting in the Friendly Societies' -Hall on Wednesday night, C.T. Bro. Ingram presiding. Threo candidates were initiated, including two members of 11, M.5. Phccoe. Capitation tax on 81 members was passed for payment. The following officers for the present quarter were then installed by L.D. Bro. Stubbs, Bro. M'Conncll (acting 1.M.), and Sis. Thoru (acting 1.D.J1.!:—C.T., Bro. Ingram; V.T., Sis. Howlands; P.C.T., Bro. Stubbs; 5.. T.T., Bro. Hunt; F.S., Sis. Lyons; treasurer, Sis. M'Plicrson; secretary, Bro. Roberts; A.S., Bro, A. Johnson; chaplain, Sis. Faithful;_ Mar., Bro. Rillstone; D.M., Sis. Kobinson; 'guard, Bro. Todd; sentinel, Bro. Jloekford. The vote of thanks to the visitors was responded to by Bro. M'Connell (Caversham).
