Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, November 19.' (Received Nov. 19, at 10.18 a.m.) A large deputation urged on the' Minister of Customs to encourage cotton-growing by way of subsidy. It was decided that cotton could be successfully and profitably grown with white labour in Queensland, Neifr South Wale?, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia, jand that ;t would one day supersede the wool industry. The Minister -promised to make full inquiry into the matter.
