OTAGO CENTRAL RAILWAY LEAGUE.

TRIBUTE TO THE LATE MR A. O. STRONACH. An ordinary monthly meeting of the Ota go Central Railway Leaguo Executive Committeo had been callcd for last evening, and those in attendance wero Messrs W. Barron (in tho chair), A. Bathgate, (J. How-, don, ]0. Roberts, H. F. N?es, W. Ginsberg, L. D. Maegcorge, R. Gilkison, J. Jolly, jun,, and E. D'Ksterrc. The Chairman said members of the leaguo had all heard, with very great sorrow, of tho death of Mr A. C. Stronacli, who was an exceptionally dutiful member of tho committee, and lmd been honorary treasurer to tho leaguo for some years. Members all regretted his loss very much, and it was fitting they should revere Ilia memory and mark their deep sorrow at his loss by adjourning the meeting for a week, Mr Bathgate said tho leaguo had lost a valuable and energetic member and one. who was highly valued by tho other members. Ho moved that tho committee records on its minutes a resolution expressing its deep regrot at tho death of Mr Stronacli and its appreciation of his services rendered to tho league and Central Otago, and that a eopy of tho resolution bo forwarded to tho widow. Mr Noes seconded the motion, which the Chairman said all would agree with, and bo declared it carried. Oil Mr Gilkison's motion it was then resolved to adjourn as a mark of respect- to the memory of tho late Mr Stronacli.
