BAZAAR IN WAKARI HALL.
A bazaar in. aid of the Methodist Parsonago Fund was opened in fhe Wakari Drill Hall 011 Thursday afternoon, and continued en Friday, Saturday, and last night Six stalls, all tastefully decorated, and each having its predominating scheme of colouring, wero placed ill different conspicuous positions round the hall, and'in both the afternoons and the evenings tho saio of the numerous useful and ornamental articles fo be found 011 them was very brisk. Last night ample amusement was provided for tho onlookers by a men's skipping competition, while musical items wero given bv the lioslyn Methodist choir, solos by Miss ll'Farlane and Mr M'Farlane, and a. pianoforte solo by Mr Arthur Thomson. Tho various stalls wero presided over as follow:— Plain sowing stall—Mesdauiss Fea and Morrison; Cingalese stall—Mrs Allnutt; fancy goods stall—Misses Clyde and Gregory; refreshment booth—Miss Armit, Mesdames Wakelin and Rowc; lolly stall—Miss Sandford and Miss Sunderland; flower stall—Miss Gordon; produce stall—Mr Fea; book stallMr Henderson. Misses Freeman and Reed presided over a handsome Christmas tree,
while a fish pond was in charge of Misses Turnbull and Edwards, and several side shows in the shape of a shooting gallery, a phrenologist, a quoit rink, and Aunt Sally all contributed a share towards the success of tho bazaar.
