Y.M.C.A. MOVEMENT.

'The last of tho series of moetings conducted by Mr D. A. Budge, from Montreal, Canada, was held last evening in the* Choral Hall, whcn : there was a fairly large and thoroughly appreciative' audience to ( hear the lecture. Mr G. M. Thomson, president of tho local association, was in tho chair. Tho lectufcr illustrated his subject by a splendid set of slides shown by limelight, theso consisting largely of buildings of tho Y.M.C.A. throughout America and photos of prominent men in tha work in that continent. At tho close of the leeturo Mr R. Chisholm, in a fo>v well-expressed words, moved a hearty voto of thanks to Mr Budgo for his interesting views and remarks, and trusted that as a result of Mr Budge's visit thero would bo an interest aroused in our city that would load to a response from tho community, and enable the association- to hnvo a secretary and a building suitable to enable the Board of Management to carry out the Work on what they feci should bo its fuller sphere. Mr Budgo leaves tho city after a very pleasant and to the work hero exceedingly helpful visit by to-day's express for Wellington and Auckland.
