THE PORT CHALMERS FATALITY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sill, —The .report in your paoer of the 22nd of my evidence at the "inquest of Robert Lylo is most inaccurate and mislcndiiiß. The following is what I said:— '•111 tl'j! right lobo of the liver I-found alargo hydatid cyst; the other abdominal organs wore healthy. On examining the chest I found the lungs healthy. The heart enlarged. The valves of the heart, with one exception, wore healthy; this one (tho mitral valve)* was tliickened and enlarged. In (he wall of the heart behind this diseased valve I found a small hydatid cyst, which had ruptured into tho heart and interfered'with'tho circulation." Tho'verilict of- the jury was death from rupturo of an hydatid cyst into tho lieart, interfering witli and stopping thc:circula-t-ion.—l am, ctc., "w. H. -iifiSJUE.
