In the House of Commons Earl Percy stated that an exchange of views regarding the interpretation of King Oscar's Samoan award had taken place between the three Governments interested. A further examination of the claims was proceeding to .see hotv far the award covers tliem. The New Zealand claims were stated to be on the same footing as those of other Britishers.'
