LORD RANFURLY'S FAREWELL TOUR.
(Per United Press Association.) . - •; NAPIER, June 3. • Tho; Governor, in response to a special invitation from the Borough Council to pay a , visit to the town prior to his departure from the oolony, arrived last night, arid the formal farewell took place this morning. Lord Ranfurly wns presented With an illumi■nated address on behalf of the citizens, •?,nd speeches eulogistio of his services to Uho colony were delvered by Sir W. Russell, .MrA.L.D. Eraser, M.H.R.'p, and Mr S. Carnell (Mayor). Subsequently his 'Excellency- held a levee, and in the afternoon' attended the AVairarapa representative football match. Tho weather was perfect, and .a. general holiday was observed. Tonight, the' Governor attended the battalion balf, and later embarked on the Westralia for Gisborne.
