WISE'S DIRECTORIES.
Wise's.. Canterbury, Marlborough, Nelson, and Westiand Directory lor 1504-05, is just out o( the printer's hinds. This publication contains directories of all the post towns in Canterbury, Marlboroiigh, Nelson, and Westlancl. Alphabetically arranged directories for the same districts, street directories of Christchurch and suburbs, Lyttelton, Tiniaru, and Nelson, and a combined trade and professional directory for the lour provincial districts named. Thcro aro in addition local and general Government official directories, miscellaneous and statistical information, and an alphabetically arranged Customs tariff, with the decisions of the Commissioner of Customs. There is further a complete postal guide showing the arrivals and departures of mails to and from each post town in the four provincial districts, information which is often iudispeneable to a business man. The maps include new maps of Greater Christchureh and suburbs, Nelson and Greymouth, and a railway map of the colony. Tho lettering and colouring on the front of the directory enables tho seeker after information to open the volume at once at the place where ho desires to make his investigations, and thus a great saving of time is effected. The value of Messrs Wise ond Co.'s directories is now so well known that it would ho superfluous to dwell on this point. The printers, the Otago Daily Times and Witness Company, have done their portion of tho work in a creditable manner, the typo used being bold ana clear. ■ .
