Ranger O'iVcill's report on the application by J. W. Aberccthy to transfer his o.r.p license iio. 257 over section -11, b.ock VI, Gfcuomaiu district, to John James Aberuethy was approved. Report received from the warden on the application by Charlotte Perrium for a lease iii perpetuity over an urea of 12 acres, opposite section 11, block V, Wakefield, and section 16, block 111, Cromwell district.—Application granted, subject to the area being surveyed in accordance with the suggestion oi Ranger M'Kenzie; capital value 12s (id per acre; to be forwarded for approval to the Governor.

Ranger Ai'liougall forwarded an' application by Dan Calwell for a license to cut firewood over ail area of 100 acres in Wiikiu ValleyRight granted to cut 100 cords; deposit of royalty on 50- loads to be paid before starting wuik.

Ranger M'Dougall forwarded an application by Thomas Lester and Charlie Cederholm for a license to cut 100 cords of firewood from Sawmill Bay to Bush Point.—Right granted on same conditions as in previous case.

Upon Ranger O'A'eill's report the application by It. H. Paul for an occupation lease under " Tho iliniug Districts Land Occupation Act, 1831," over 1- acres on Galloway Flat, Loaning Rock district, was granted; rental (id per acre.

Upon Ranger O'A'eiU's report the application by Archibald Ashworth for an occupation lease under "The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, I&M,' over 100 acres on Run No. 220, '.figor Hill district, was declined, as the gianting of this application would prcjndically afreet the working of run 220.

John Saunders, sen., wroto asking if he v.-ould be allowed to sow oats with tho grass on sections 3 to 6, block IV, Town of Herbert, held by him under license.—As the gorse is not yet radicated the board lws no objection to tho application. John Saunders's (sen.) application for five loads of dead manuka scrub from No. 11, Shepherd's Hill, was granted under the same conditions as previously. .

The applications of 11. B. Morris, J. Campbell, P. H. Jone3, and K. Me.rose for a grazing license over the unsold sections in blocks XIX, XIII, XIV, XV, and XVI, Town of ~\Yaipahi, were referred to ranger for report, A letter from the Assistant Chief Inspector of Stock in regard to an area of 1 rood 1 pole, ; ving between sections 3a and 2 of 60, block V, Hawksbury district, was received.

J.imc3 W. Marshall's application for a license to occupy part of the tai.ings fronting section SO, Town of Komako, was granted; rent 5s per acre; arep, '1 acra 1 rood. The application by John Coyle to surrender his pastoral lease 7U7 over section 1, block V, Swinburn district (J. J. Ramsay, agent), was considered;— Surrender to be acceptcd when Mr Coyle supplies an undertaking that ho will again select the section; capital value 12s Cd per acre; value of improvements £202 lGs Gd. Ranger O'Neill's report that Thomas Shepherd, lessee -of small grazing run section 0, block VI, Lauder district, has not teen complying with the residence condition of his lease was held over.

Hanger O'Neill reported on sections 10 and 11, block I, Tiger Ilill' district, formerly held by James Healey.—Section to be again offered at capita! value of 12s 6d per acre. The cases of David Dewar and David Dewar, jnn., who have been called upon to show cause why their o.r.p. licenses over sections 11 and block V, Woodland district, should not bo declared forfeited for their noncompliance with the residence condition were considered.—The Dcwars to be requested to carry out further improvements within one month, when the question will be again dealt with by the board.

Kaes Hughes, 16 acres in block I, St. Bathans district.—Granted subjcct to survey; rent Is ]:er acre. Thomas Morgan, 40 acres in block I, St. bathans district,—Granted, subject to survey; rent Is per sere; to be surveyed iu accordance (villi suggestions of the ranger. William Thurlow, 100 acros in block I, St. Ijulhans district.—Referred to warden for Teyort, and to bo advertised in the usual way. Roberts's application for a licenso to occupy sections 15 and 16, block IV, Town of Kurow, iv»s grunted; rent 10s per annum. The Receiver of Land Revenue roported that tho following holders of yearly iicenses JiflA failed to renew xhe same by payment of the year's rent, and the licenses were declared lapsed:-771—Thomas Fahey, Tuapeka West; 1205—John Smith, Gienkenich; 121d—Jaines Kerr, Rock and Pillar; 1813— H. The following applications for rural land on lease ill perpetuity were granted-—lll4—Wil-liam Perriam, section 0, block 111, Kawarau district; '1113—Robert M'Lean, section 121, block 11. Leaning Rock district; 4115—Wilson M. Mawliinncy, section 12, block VI, Naseby district.

The warden's report on the Adams Plat Miuin" Reserve in blocks LII and LIU, Tokomairiro district, was considered.—Reserve to be offered for sale under the Public Reserves Act for a term of 14 years; upset 2d per acre; block to be subdivided into three divisions. Transfer of small grazing run 390, M; D, Jfanu-l to David Renwick, small grazing tun ISfIE, Teviot district, was granted. The Vaihemo County Council forwarded a resolution passed by the council in regard to the pollution of the Shag Itiver, caused by the deposit of refuse on the ballast pit reserve, section 70, block IV, Moeraki district. Ranger Atkinson iorwarded a report on the matter which was adopted.—The Waihmno County Council to ' )e a9 kC'd if tl'ey would be willing to allow other local bodies to take gravel from this reserve if vested in the county.
