CONCERT AT GREEN ISLAND.

A very successful, minstrel entertainment war, giveii iu the Green Island Volunteer Hall lust night by the E'ulalie Minstrels in aid of a local resident (Mrs Seymour) who has bean left in rather destitute circumstances, The hall was well filled by nil appreciative audience, who by llioir frequont',applau£9 seemed to 'enjoy the. jokes of the corner man. Tho first part of the programme consisted of ballads and plantation Eojigs by the minstrels, who acquitted themselves very creditably. The Mayor (Mr James Miller), on behalf of tho promoters of the entertainment, thanked the performers and all who so kindly came forward to l assist, also the Dresden Company , for 'tho use of the piano, and tho vdlimteers for tho ball Tho second part consisted or vocal and instrumental selections, which reflected great credit on the perform?ss, eacli item being applauded. Mrs Otto, Jfiiß Wilkinson, Miss Nellie Harraway, Mr E. Gurr, and 1 Mr G.'Gurr received well deserved enocres, especially Sirs Wilkinson, whose singing delighted the audience. The performance was brought (o a close with the farce "A Man of Ideas," tho dramatis persons of which did their several parts- with great crcdit.
