The death is announced by cable of Mr John H. Shorthouse, the well-known author ol" John Inglesant," "Sir Percival," etc. He was 69 years of age. Mr Eayward, of tile firm of Baldwin and EaywaTd, patent agents, arrived from the north on Saturday, and will be in Dunedih for some davs.
