DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYAKDS.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, nnd Co. report as follows:—Sixty horses of one sort or another were entered for last Saturday's sale, which number was composed almost entirely of light harness horses, the supply of other classes being extremely limited. Only one draught horse was disposed of, and this animal, the property of Mr Walter Blackie, of GlneoßW Farm, East Taieri, was sold at £44 10s. The demand 1, for first-class young draught mares and geldings still continues, and we know of numerous buyers on the lookout for sound horses. During the week we have sold a number privately at extremely 'satisfactory prices. The light horses offered at 'auction met a very good sale on Saturday, and no less than 36 horses found different owners. Ten horses helonging to the Tramways Department were entered, four of these realising respectively £20, £20, £19 10s, and £13 10s, whilst others were disposed o[ at various prices. Wo know of a large number of buyers in quest of staunch, young, harness horses, and we tan strongly recommend vendors to try cur market, where we are sure the prices realised will be satisfactory. Spring-van and horses arc also inquired for, and good prices can be obtained fortheright sorts.
