TRIAL OF THE "GROWN" SEPARATOR.
The local agents of the "Crown" cream: separator have pointed out to us that in one respect the report published in our issue of yesterday might possibly bo misleading. They refer to tbo fact that no'mention is made of the number.? of the "Crown" separator sold by them in the Otago district, which omission .might in seme quarters _ convoy tho impression that tte machine i? practcially a recent- introduction locally, and stall has its way to m?ke. So far from tin's hem? tho oaso, wc gather that during t.lie lost four years—that is, sinoe the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company took up the agency—sales of the hand power " Crown " separators have been steadily increasing in number, until to-day they are in very general use in Otago, and at times the agents have found a dilßoulty iii keeping up supplies ol tho favourito sizes. Tho trial referred' to in our report was of ono of their steam power in chinos, which deals with 510 gallons of milk per hour.
