FANCY OOSTUME CRICKET MATCH AND FETE.

The arrangements in connection with the fancy costume cricket match, to he given by the members of tho Pollard Opera Company in aid of local charities, are now about completed. Application has been made to the Educaiicn Board for a half-holiday for tho schools on March 11, the date fixed on, and the Mayor will be approached with the view of having a half-holiday declared for the occasion, llrs AV. 11. Reynolds and Mrs D.enniston, with a large committee of ladies, will have charge of the refreshments, and satisfaction is assured. A souvenir programme lias bten prepared by the secretary, and as he has collected the autographs of nearly every member of tho Pollards, it is sure to be in demand. Tickets aro selling well, and it only Tequire3 fine weather to make the fete a success. Afternoon tea tickets will be sold on the grounds.
