Messrs Niuimo and Blair report as follows:— Wheat— Nc.v velvet is now offering, but no business is reported at the prices offering. Good fowl wheat is in demand. Oats—As new oats are now oh the market values of old oats have again come back, but with the exception of bright feed lines the demand is very slow. Chaff.—Market fully supplied, prime lots only being in demand Wo quote: Primo oaten, £4 to £4 5s per ton (sacks extra). Potatoes.—Market firm, supplies having eased off. Wo quote: Prime kidneys, £3 5s per ton (sacks in). DAIUjV produce hf.pobt. Butter.—Salt, 8d to Sid; fresh cooking, 7d per lb. Pigs.—l2olb to 1701b, 5Jd per lb. FRUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs Thomas Paterson and Co., fruit and produce agents, Manse street, report as follows for the week ending March 3,1903: — Fruit.—Oranges: Messina, double cases. 20s fo 22s Gd; halves, lis to 12s. Lemons: Messina, 18s Gd to 22s Gd. Bananas- Market bare. Apples: Dessert, 5s to 8s; cooking, 2s Gd to ss. Pears: Melbourne, 14s to 15s; local, 2d to 3d per lb. Plums: Auckland and Nelson range from 3s Gd to Gs; Canterbury grown, 4s tn 6s. Tomatoes: Hothouse, 6d; Nelson, 3d. Strawberries: A few still come forward; 6d to Is. Peas, ljd. Beans, 2d. Onions, 7s to Bs. Rhubarb, 7s. Poultry.—Roosters, 3s to 4s per pair; liens, 2s to 2s Gd; ducks, 3s 6d; gees>, 5s to Gs per pair. Wo receive consignments any day but Saturday. — Towns on tho River Volga arc supplied with entertainment. by a floating theatre, which has a good stage, amplo accommodation for the audience, and all the necossary adjuncts in the way of dressing rooms, buffets, otc. Chan-he of Water often brings on diarrhea. For this reason many cxperionced travellers carry a bottle of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera, and Diarrhma Remedy with them, to bo used in case of an emergency. This preparation has no equal es a cure for bowel oomplaints. It cannot be obtained while on board tho cars or steamship, and that is where it is most likely to bo needed. Buy a bottle before leaving home. All dealers tell it.
