(Peh United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 1. The annual dinner of tho Seventh Now Zealand Contingent, hold last night, was attended by about 200 members. C-lucets cams from all parls of the colony. Colonel Porte,r presided. Tho lloiib. W. 0. Walker and C. H. Millj wcro present, and in their speeches paid a tribute to the valour of our soldiers in tho recent war. CffitKTCHUROH, February 28. In accordanoe with ft suggestion made at tho last annual meeting of tho New Zcafaud Dairy Association, a conference of the Canterbury and North Olngo members of tho association was held at Lyttc-Iton yesterday. The conference was largely attended. It was deeided— 1 " That the Government should at once equip a proper experimental station tor our experts to carry cn their investigations in tho interests of producers generally." " That this meeting confirm tho resolutions passed at a meeting of Bluff members, and express the opinion tliai tho inspection of milk should eomo under tho Dairy Commissioner's Department."
