For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Samoa, Sandwich Islands, Japan, Philippine Islands, United States of America', Canada, South America, West Indies. United Kingdom, and Continent of Ejirope, at 9.50 a.m. Money orders close at 4 p.m. on the 2nd. Bool: packets and newspapers at 0 a.m. on the 3rd. The above mail will close at the branch Post, Offices, North Dunedin, South Dunedin. Caversham. and Eosiyn, for money orders and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 2nd; letters at 9.30 a.m. on the 3rd; and newspapers at midnight on ilio 2nd. At the Port Chalmers office at 8.45 a.m. on the 3rd; money ordorß at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. ou the 2)1(1, The above mail will be due in London on the 4th April. Mails despatched and received twico daily. The nostago on letters for Australia has been reduced to one penny for each half-ounce or fraction thereof. Newspapers for the Australian States (except Queensland, which is id for every 2oz), one penny each. The public are reminded that the postage on newspapers for the United Kingdom, Queensland, and foreign countries is Id -for the first 4oz, and }d for each additional 2oz; and unless newspapers are fully prepaid the department cannot guarantee to forward then! th 6 quickest, routes. —— The Riiiaia will leave Lyttelton £91 London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe, on the 2nd March, at 4 p.m. Duo in London 10th April.
