THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS.

TO THE EDITOR. i Sin,—ln your issue of this morning you give considerable space to the Seventh Day Adventist camp and the sayings of its ministers. No special exception need be takcm bub to one portion, that by Evangelist Farnsworth on the Sabbath question. It does not • show that the preacher's statements were taken exception to several times, and that in reply thereto he' promised that at the closo of Ills .address he would reply to tiny question) that mighty be askejl. Instead of doing si, the meeting was speedily closed nnd dismissed, and tlio preachov disappeareu from the platform, so mo opportunity was given to ask any questions. As this was a distinct breach of promise and had all tlw appearance, on the part of the preacher, of a consciously weak cause, this led to some little disturbance and the use of indignant expressions, and of the charge of against the preachor. As theso people are seeking, to overturn one of the civil institutions of the land, and as one of tlio results of the acceptance .of their views would be the cessation of work on Saturdays, and consequent loss of situations, this 'ending to quarrels betweon' husband and wife, and often the breakingup of homes and much unhappiness, can nothing be done to,prevent the peoplo who are not well informed on this matter from being victimised? Surely these people are williihg to try and prove their Sabbatarian, views ou the public platform, where the opposito view can be presented. It cannot be that among the many ministers of our city thero will not bo one or more willing to present the opposite side, and thus give the peoplo a chance of judging wisely on this important matter. Trusting it will be taken up by tho both sides,I am, etc., January 19. A Lover of the Eight.
