Ho rushed to" tho door, which he found locked, and heard a couple of men escape through the front of the. house, and drivo away in a buggy, which was evidently waiting in readiness for them. They only secured a few coppers and a quantity of cignrettcs. The policeman, Long held a revolver and a partially burned match in his hands.
