Tho Premier has. received a communication from the secretary of tho Clear Hills Progress Farmers' and Settlers' Association, Daklands, Corowa, New South-Wale?, dated January 3. 'JM:e lofctor says: "I am instructed, on behalf of tho above association, »nd also of tho farmers and settlers 'of Riverina, to convey to you their hearty thanks for your kind nnd generous action in offering to supply seed and fodder to this State for-the benefit of our farmers »u<l settlers who have suffered eo severely through tho long drought, nnd to assure :hat they fully appreciate the kindly motives that prompted you to make tho offer, and to Bxpress regret that the Premier of this Stato has not accepted the offer in the spirit in which it, was made.—A. TkOTHOWAN, secretary."
