CARDINAL MOARAN AND SAMOA.
<>• Press Association—By Tolcgwph—Copyright, , CHARGE AGAINST PROTESTANT MISSIONS. \ , SYDNEY, January 18. : (Received Jan. 19, at 1.12 a.m.) Cardinal Moran, in a speech at the opening of a seminary at Waverley, traversed the criticisms of his recent utterances with reference to Samoa. He said he hod repeatedly laid tho blame of the disgraceful and disastrous struggle in Samoa at the door of the Protestant missionary agents, and he was convinced that on their shoulders the main share of the responsibility must ultimately rest. He did not, however, desire to exempt from blame other officials engaged in tho shameful proceedings.
