The following crews have been selected to represent the D.A.B.'s on the opening day, and, given fine weather and good water this club alone should make a grand display in the procession: — Eight-oai.—J. mittee assures me of an excellent musical programme, and during an interval refreshments will be handed round. This function is deservedly popular, and always well attended, no matter what sort of weather we got; but for the sake of the aquatic display and comfort of everyone in general, we hope Mr Paulin will favour us with a fine day. We expect it. The D.A.B.'s terminate their opening day's programme with a danco at 8 p.m. in their hall, and this is always voted one of the most pleasant of the season. Members .are reminded that entries for the first olub race (President's Fours) close on Saturday. A committee meeting of the North End Boating Club was held in the Bowling Green Hotel on Monday evening, when final arrangements in connection with the opening-day ceremony were made. Jt was decided to entertain the lady friends and .the patrons of the club at the boat shed during the afternoon. The club will take advantage of this occasion for the unfurling of the handsome flag presented to them by the ladies of their Quadrille Assembly. It was resolved that all members taking part in the procession on the opening day shall wear the full uniform of the club. Five new active members and one honorary member were elected. OTAGO ROWING CLUB. The following crews have been chosen to represent the Otago Rowing Club in the procession on the opening day.
