A welcome revival will be inaugurated in the Garrison Hall on Wednesday, September 10, and following nights, when Balfe's charm- | ing comcdy opera Dolores " and Gilbert and Sullivan's sparkling comic operetta, " Trial by Jury" will be performed by the newly-formed opera class, assisted by Mis 3 Amy Murphy and Miss Annie Sime, who made such reputations for themselves in Wellington during the run of " The Yoeman of the Guard," Mr'Chaa. Reid, the Christchurch tenor, Mr it. Mitchell, Mr James J ego, whose name guarantees the part, and Mr W. Der.sem. The operas will be staged and costumed as in a theatre. The whole, including a full and efficient orchestra, will be conductcd by ,Mr James Cooinbes.
