The Select Committee of the House of Representatives, which lias boon set up to inquire into the condition of the frozen meat export , trade, consists of Messrs Buddo, Field, Flatman, Kaselden, Hornßby, Lang, Lawry, Lothbridge, T. Mackenzie, G. w. Russell, M'Nab, Sir William 'Russell, and tho Hon. T. Y. DuiiKin. Tho committee will meet on Tuesday and elect a chairman. It is proposed to call tlie evidence of experts from tit* ment export. companies and of groxvors for the purpose of ascertaining, if possible, the r&wms for the difference in tho price of sheep in ttie North Jeland and South Island, which 'has always been a fruitful source of oobiment among growers, and generally to consider if any itieans can be devised for improving the* conditions of the export trade for the benefit of the ■ producers.
