HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. FRIDAY, AUGUST 29. •After the Telegraph Office oloaed at 2 o'clock in the morning the State Coal Mines Act Amendment Bill was further considered in committee. Eventually tho Hon. Mr M'Gowan agreed to accept tho suggestion that the power of appropriation under the bill' should be. limited to two years. Sir J. G. Ward also promised that a vote would appear on the Estimates next year, arid the following year in order to allow the House an opportunity to discuss the matter. The bill was amended m this direction-. and reported. The House rosb at 2.5 a.m.
