For Australian States (via 1 Hobart), Ceylon, India, China, Straits Settlements, Mauritius, South Africa, Mediterranean Ports, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc., per south express, at 8 a.m. Late letters south express 9.5 a.m. Due in London 12th October. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2. For Northern Ports, per Mararoa, at 2 p.m. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER G. VANCOUVER SERVICE. Mails ior Fiji, Honolulu, Canada, United States of America, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, per north express,' to connect with the Vancouver steamer at Fiji, at 10 a.m. Due in London October 15. Correspondence need not be specially addressed. NOTE. The postage on letters for Australia has been reduced to one papn7 for each' half-ounce or fraction thereof. Newspapers for the Australian States (except Queensland*, which is Jd for every 2oz), one penny each.The public are reminded that the postage on newspapers for the United Kingdom, Queensland, and foreign countries is Id for the first ioz, and Ad for each additional 2oz; and unless newspapers are fully prepaid the department cannot guarantee to forward thc-m by the quickest routes. , Mails for Australian States,.
